Systems Development

Overall Purpose:

You will be part of a busy internal development team responsible for multiple systems used across the business. You will work within team projects and also sometimes on smaller initiatives individually.

You will develop new solutions and also maintain or refactor older solutions and you will also be involved with operational matters such as deployments and performance monitoring.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to full life-cycle application development of our core business systems including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation and maintenance/3rd Line support.

Provide regular progress reports via project or team processes Provide time and risk estimations based on new feature proposals.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in system stability and performance and opportunities for improvement within our own development practices.

Contribute to various related integration projects with other internal teams and suppliers.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills
ASP.NET MVC and Web-forms
JavaScript / JQuery / other frameworks such as AngularJS
HTML5 / CSS3 / Bootstrap
.Net Win-forms and (optional)
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 onwards with Entity Framework or similar.
SQL Server Reporting Services
Automated Testing Frameworks such as Selenium (optional) Team Foundation Server and other source code control systems
SSIS or other ETL tools an advantage
Wordpress and MySQL based systems (optional)
Salesforce and other CRM systems integration (optional)
K2 Blackpearl Workflow (optional)
Sharepoint 2007-2013 development (optional)
At least 3 years commercial development experience in a Microsoft .NET environment
Exposure / knowledge of commercial property, legal or other professional service industries and advantage
Exposure to any mobile development an advantage
Full lifecycle project experience
Maintenance and diagnosis of existing legacy systems as well as shaping new systems
