In my efforts to make a start on my GPS game, I’ve been looking at hybrid app development frameworks.
From this I discovered AppGyver, and their really easy to follow set-up guide (you need to be logged in for this) and tutorial - the result of which is my very own “app” (which I admit is nothing more than a CRUD resource - but hey, it’s more than I had this morning).
From what I can tell, the whole thing seems to be put together from a bunch of existing technologies (Angular, Cordova, Ionic, et al), but is agnostic enough that you can swap them out as needed. It also provides a bunch of easy to use tools, allowing for the launching of emulated devices, live-reloading, and a whole bunch of other goodies.
I’m guessing this is aimed at the same market at Meteor, but with a slightly different approach.
In any case, I’m impressed with what I’ve seen, but as I don’t currently know how to use Angular, now might be a good time for me to learn.
