Hackerence 2016 - October 21st - 23rd

I thought I’d better get around to posting that

So, we’re releasing speakers and getting more APIs/Tech to play with at the hack. You can get more details at https://2016.hackference.co.uk/ and if you’d like to pick up a discount on the tickets it’s the name of the movie we’re paraphrasing at https://2016.hackference.co.uk/tickets.

If you’ve got questions, feel free to tweet @hackferencebrum or you can get Mike at @ukmadlz or mike@hackference.co.uk

Woop!! Hackference is back, and I cannot wait!

I got my ticket months ago (apparently I was the first)

It’d be really cool if someone could describe what this is all about. It looks great, but the site is one of those that expects you to already know :frowning:

Ah, it’s pretty simple.

It’s a 1 day developer conference with a whole bunch of talks on different technologies and languages. It’s then followed by the 2 day hackathon where you get to play with schtuff. Sound ok?

We’re releasing the Hackathon tickets the beginning of next month. If you intend to come to the conference & coming to the Hackathon, your best bet is to pick up a conference ticket as you’ll get a weeks advance notice and special access to the Hackthon tickets.

Also, we’re starting to run out of Earlyish Bird tickets, so if you want a ticket at £75 before we run out and the price get’s bumped up https://2016.hackference.co.uk/tickets.html

Ignore this, it is just the conf, I see hack tickets are being sold later, always helps to read before posting! [So are the tickets for the 3 day event? I would like to come to the conference but probably not the rest of the weekend.]

(Mike Elsmore) #7

The tickets are for each part of the event, so conference tickets cover the conference and hackathon tickets cover the hackathon. The only thing is that conference ticket holders get first refusal on hackathon tickets when they’re initially released.

Great, thanks!

Just a heads up, we released another batch of hackathon tickets yesterday https://2016.hackference.co.uk/hackathon.html

If anyone wants to come to the conference as a group, come shout at me so I can arrange a group discount ticket.

If you’ve never been to a hackathon before - make Hackference your first. It was my first a couple of years ago, and I loved it!
